friday:
hung out with monkey butt. she is sooo close to rolling over!

not the most attractive or flattering pictures... trying to capture how she has earned the nickname 'bubbles!'

got lots of cleaning done and had peapod deliver.

she loves sophie. so cute that she is figuring it out.

saturday:
nick had a volleyball tournament. the plan was for us to head out there in the afternoon so ben could watch him play. however, they lost and were out much sooner than we anticipated.

our timing was all whackadoodle. so ben, amelia, and i headed to a birthday party and nick got home a bit after and was able to enjoy some peace and quiet.

then he found the air hockey table. could not get him to leave.

someone found a new friend. he was playing subway surfers which has piqued ben's interest in playing that on his phone again.

came home and watched monster's university. nick had been patiently waiting to watch it!

sunday:
nick went to work. my kid lost his pj bottoms. oh well, at least he was doing some activity books. 

tried putting his pants on. had em backwards. couldn't help myself.

we actually have leave producing trees! hi house! ben wanted to go on a walk. he took the bubble wand and fending off bad guys along the way. ;)

headed out again in the evening. ben and i played frisbee. couldn't help myself and had to go get nick when ben's throw ended up in the tree. just like his daddy!

we had a frisbee throwing contest. i usually one. until nick brought out the disc golf discs. then he won and almost hit our neighbor's house.

i came in to cook and the boys did some raking.

it got dark. quick. it caught nick off guard, hence the darker picture.

wip 10.19.13

friday:
ran errands during the day while my mom stayed with amelia.
we watched nick's sister's kids that evening. made our own pizzas. they got to pick the toppings of their choice.

someone was falling asleep watching us. i guess we are pretty entertaining. poor thing. don't worry. i took her out immediately after taking this picture.

the kids were great. couldn't believe that noah ate like four pieces of pizza. they had a fun time playing after dinner. coloring and watching the croods is a perfect way to spend the evening, right?

yum. was a long week. this helped a bit.

nick took amelia upstairs and i stayed downstairs with the kids. didn't take too long for them to fall asleep. just had to each have their own pillow and own blanket. sharing wasn't happening!

saturday:
lazy morning.

nick had to go to work in the afternoon and the kids and i just took it easy.  so easy that i took like no photos!

sunday:
another rest day. i think we forgot to do with ourselves when nick is available. had been so crazy for so long!  it's nice to just chill.

someone helped me pass a level on candy crush. (he's helped twice. and i'm thinking of enlisting him for this *#&$% level that i've been stuck on forever. 305 sucks.)

ten on tuesday 10.8.13

- started christmas shopping this weekend!

- love how ben says nothing. nuf-fing.

- melie was freaking out in the car. nick jokingly turned up the song on the radio, clarity, and shockingly she quieted down. she must have her dad's taste in music.

- ben watched me play candy crush a few times. one day he said, 'mom are you ever gonna beat that level!?'

- love that i can get a cut and color in my own home. is that super lazy to admit?

- don jon tomorrow!

- consistently clocking 7000+ steps on fit bit. weekends are my nemesis. well, at least one day out of the weekend. i get to rest one day, right?!

- i love fall.

- thinking it's going to be a bad blogging week. we shall see. my dreams of catching up on weekend posts are dwindling.

- ben is turning into such a big boy. he now asks to shower in the morning before school. sigh.

ten on tuesday 10.1.13

- whenever my mom cooked chili, when i was younger, i made her pick all of the beans out of mine before i would eat it. now, i'll eat beans. not sure what my deal was back then... now, when i make chili, ben won't eat it because, 'i don't like beans.' i think i'm experiencing bean karma. ;)

- why must britney insist on putting b!tch in all of her songs? seriously. so annoying. you would think a mom of two young boys would think twice about it... says the girl who cusses like a trucker.

- totally digging the tune in app. we used to be able to stream music at work through our computers. since we went to electronic records we can't. have gone through so many music apps. loving this one. maybe it's just because i can listen to wxrt all day now!

- my cat keeps attacking ben's window clings. poor beaners. gets so frustrated when kitty keeps pulling em down!

- had to update to a hella password at work. so hard to concentrate now when i log in! used to be second nature... not anymore!

- can't wait to see don jon with the girls! hoping the schedule allows for it next week.

- miss melie is so darn cute. loving the baby smiles. and she's sleeping for 8-9 hour stretches! working on that stretch being from about 8-5ish!

- last weekend for the drive in. trying to decide if we should go one last time.

- lost in fantasty football this week. wah! and it was to nick! double wah!

- 10,000+ steps on my fitbit today. boom! now only if i can get exercising back in my crazy schedule. last week was bad, hoping now that i've been back at work for almost a month, it'll be easier to get up earlier to squeeze in some time before i start the day. we shall see.

ten on tuesday 6.4.13

- totally forgot to post yesterday. we rescheduled our maternity shoot from sunday to yesterday... the weather was much more cooperative. have seen two sneaks and cannot wait to see the rest!

- ben has become quite the bossy pants. he directs nick and i on how to act when we're playing or in random every day life.

- if you're at a doctor's office, please turn the sound off on your phone. no one wants to hear your key strokes or notifications or you unlocking your phone. 

- why can't i do dishes without completely soaking myself?

- my mom couldn't stop introducing me as her 'pregnant daughter.' gee, thanks, mom. i think they can see that! couldn't she just have said daughter? i guess she was excited! ;)

- my parents watched ben a while back and some how ben got my dad hooked on candy crush?! i don't even play that game. i've thought about but am trying to be strong!

- feeling like if it isn't one thing, it's another. have lots going on and i'm hoping that doctor's visits will be few and far between in the future because we're keeping em hopping as of late. all three of us!

- nick has been working a lot. last week, he walked in the door after work and ben said, 'daddy. are you going to volleyball or work or are you going to stay home for a little bit?' aw...

- it's june. where is time going? cannot believe baby bug will be here next month! 

- still getting used to the new computer. tried to upload some pics this weekend. still having some issues. yay for technologically gifted hubbies who try to help their wives.

- why must body builders be orange? or that insanely dark brown?

- heard someone say that he 'bred his wife.' ew. really? she's not a horse.

- was trying to type aggressive. ended up singing that old high school cheer to figure it out. yeah, i'm a dork.

- had a patient tell me that her pixie from fannie may almost brought her to orgasm. seriously. what is wrong with people??! funnily enough, the lady sitting next to her replied, 'there's fanny may?'

- found a new breakfast of the moment: english muffin with tomato and avocado {a little salt and pepper}. totally tasty!

- i am beyond obsessed with my new app purchase. highly recommended. especially for $0.99!

- nick listened to our house voice mails today. the first message was from 2/18. oops!

- i dislike stinky people. especially when they should know better. and don't blame it on their smoking status. good hygiene is good hygiene regardless of their inability to smell.

- got a new camera for mom's day. need to figure out how to get it hooked up to the wifi. yay for easier photo sharing.

- i guess it's technology time in the pressner house. debating a new laptop. can't believe mine is 5 years old. it's dying a slow death and we're hoping to purchase before that happens.

ten on tuesday 2.5.13

- obsessed with phrases friends.  curse you, brandee.

- not really impressed with the new jt song. maybe he'll change my mind after performing at the grammy's this weekend.

- i miss planter's cheese balls. target brand is not the same.

- i think there might be an ikea trip in my future. makes me happy. it's like my disney land. ;)

- ben and nick were having a conversation in the car about rain or snow or some sort of precipitation. nick asked ben if he knew what cleaned off the windshield and ben said, 'yup, wipe shields.' close!

- if you're gonna be a manager you need to enforce all the rules. even the ones you don't agree with. it's just fair.

- top chef is making me want to take an alaskan cruise... not on carnival though! said that to nick while we were watching last week and two days later we got a celebrity brochure in the mail. strange!

- i know i suck at capitalization/punctuation. but i'm a stickler for proper spelling. just saw heel where heal should have been used. makes me cringe.

- went to old navy and bought nothing for myself. that never happens. i can usually find a scarf or necklace or a little something.  maybe it's that ikea trip in the back of my mind. subconsciously i'm thinking... save your money!

-  on second thought, i don't think it's my subconscious at work. i currently have another tab open and am browsing shoes and coats at zappos. ;-)

ten on tuesday 11.20.12

- jury duty just got serious. not sure i can share specifics on here. but pfwhoa. more details when i can share.

- when i asked ben what he had for lunch one day last week, after listing off his main course he said, 'green bean like balls.' apparently, i don't feed him enough peas!

- cannot believe it is thanksgiving week. so does not feel like it. i'm not ready for christmas!

- played frisbee golf for the first time this weekend. who knew it was possible to be so sore from throwing a damn frisbee for 18 holes!

- song pop makes me want to shazam every song on my phone. or wish i had my old car where the radio told me what every song was!

- ben thinks bob the builder built our house. i don't have the heart to tell him otherwise.

- people were strange today. felt like a full moon or something.

- think nick might get up early for black friday. his psp took a bath in milk this morning, don't ask. went to trade stuff in and buy a new one and they told him he should wait til friday... let's see if he'll actually get up that early! i think my black friday days are way over!

- didn't realize how far behind i had gotten on weekend posts! must try to get back on track.

- think i'm getting sick in time for the holiday weekend. sucks. hoping to go to bed super early tonight and try to keep it at bay. i hate being sick. hoping beaner doesn't catch it either.

ten on tuesday 9.25.12

- i am no longer winless in fantasty football! i managed to win despite my one running back getting me -2 points! and my defense only scoring 1. thank you seattle for stopping aaron rodgers. ;)

- ben told me he wanted to do gymnastics the other day. he then proceeds to do a somersault, stands up, and says, 'perfect ten.' where the heck did he get that?

- had to do a prior authorization at work last week and the lady i was speaking with would not stop mouth breathing into the phone. it was awful. i could barely hear her. was so close to ask to speak with someone else who wasn't an obnoxious mouth breather.

- i want to make a doorbell that will not ring if someone pushes it more than twice. {i really would like it to short circuit and shock whoever is doing it but...} last week, i was napping on the couch and nick was giving ben a bath. the doorbell rang and startled me out of my nap. i didn't get up and answer it. it rang again a few moments later. i finally got up and when i got to the door whoever was ringing it was gone. so i sit back on the couch, try to get settled in for a few more moments of shut eye before bath time is over. and as soon as i sit, the door bell rings in like rapid fire mode. at least five dings. zomg. heart attack again. turns out our neighbor's daughter really wanted to deliver something to us!

- these nfl refs are ridiculous.

- have a new app obsession.

- ben played with an etch a sketch tonight. he was mesmerized. i might need to purchase one!

- happy for last minute visits with friends who are in town with their new baby. :)

- nick and i are recording a few new shows this season: revolution, the mindy project, and the new normal.  i'm having dvr anxieties! 

- sometimes i think it would be better to not be updated hourly with information that is constantly changing. that maybe giving us updates every few hours would be less confusing and more time efficient...

ten on tuesday 7.17.12

- i am a list machine right now. i love lists. downloaded this app. have yet to use it. i'm just so used to using the 'notes' section in my phone. but there's nothing like a good, old fashioned, pen and paper list. love crossing things off!

- i love summer. i just do. i think it's the daylight and that i can get so much done. makes me contemplate moving somewhere where we would experience more of it... almost. thinking i need to invest in a uv light when the time comes and stock up on some melatonin.

- the blogger app sucks. tried to upload last week from it, and couldn't. maybe i should delete it and try again?

- since this is turning out to be an app heavy post already, what the eff is up with map quest? i knew where we were going-ish. but just in case plugged it into our phone. the darn app took us so far out of our way it was ridiculous and it ended up that i was correct, so i shouldn't have doubted myself. blargh. anyone suggest any free gps apps?

- my dad makes an amazing hot pepper and pickled cucumbers. so good. yay that he has a productive garden and will share his creations with us.

- nick and i were trying to figure out if we should get a prescription filled for some antibiotics just in case we caught montezuma's revenge on vacation. there was a moment when we thought the medication would we have to take was flagyl. which would have sucked because they give it to alcoholics to deter drinking. it does not mix well with alcohol. which totally would have sucked on vacation. crisis averted! we found a different one! priorities, right?

- chewbacca is back home. think that might deserve a separate post too. but i know we have one happy kitty and one happy benjamin. what's not happy... our wallet. ;)

- the new refreshers from starbucks are dee-licious. i prefer the lime. and i even bought the packets to make em at home. it's pretty close taste-wise and a bit cheaper.

- had a dinner fail yesterday. was hurrying trying to get it all prepped. got distracted by ben. {not that it's an excuse.} and i grabbed the packet of seasoning and dumped it into my bowl full of cheese and realized it was zesty italian seasoning. NOT taco seasoning. oof! oops. so instead of mexican manicotti, we had tacos!

- hoping to learn how to do laundry in the next two days. yup, i've never done a load. whatever. judge away. but with nick leaving and only being home a few days before we both leave, i wanted to get a crash course, so i could clean and get started with the packing! wish me luck.

10 on tuesday. 3.13.12

- so the pop machine was out of order at work. and there's a huge sign letting people know that it is broken.  i cannot tell you how many people stopped me to ask if the machine was really broken. um, really. it's not april fool's, so i have no idea why we would just put a sign up there for no reason. i, of course, make fun of these individuals to my coworkers and then walk right up to the machine, move the sign out of the way, and try to push the ice button. duh! wth! i then told all my coworkers so we could laugh at me too! seriously, i am such a dork. and i had one coworker admit that she did the same thing. yay! i'm not alone!

- i have an exception to my rihanna aversion. this song with drake.

- saw a sign at the auto shop that read, 'brakes wile u wate.' wha?

- got a dress for alyson's wedding. and shoes! just need to figure out jewelry and a bag... duh, i have a purse that might work. it'll be big. but who cares! unless anyone has a small, silver clutch i can check out. ;)

- my most random text from this weekend: 'shannon can u text me toshs number so we can prank call him pkease. you did take a photo right? we r gonn prank him fro a drag bar.' so funny. and if any one reading can guess which crazy friend texted that, you get bonus points. and yes, i did have a picture. see this post. and yes, i did text it to her. and no, i don't know if she had any luck!

- cannot believe how many of my friends are on vacation. so hope they are all having a fabulous time. seriously, i know of two separate vegas outings, two florida outings, a mexico trip, and my parents.

- just in case you missed yesterday's post. draw something. get it! i won't judge. promise. but you better not laugh at me. kidding. that is part of the fun!

- trying to decide on dessert for ben's party. i'm kind of over cake. not sure i want cupcakes. not sure i have the energy for cake pops.

- nick is cleaning out his old video games. can't believe he is really parting with some of the stuff. and we're donating it to children's. yay for friends who work there and will take it in for me. xo!

- used my rebel for the first time since, i think, christmas this weekend. why, why, do i stop using it? silly shannon. and 252 pictures in two days. i have a problem.

12 on the 12th {march 2012}

i have no idea why i was thinking about 12 on the 12th photos today. {in theory, you take 12 photos on the 12th day every month.} and i have no idea why it came first thing on the morning, but then i realized it was the 12th, and i thought, 'why not.' so here we go!

and since i'm so lazy that i can't edit or do anything fancy with the photos, i'm certainly not photo-shopping them into a pretty collage either. ;P


1. ordering medical supplies for the office. it's one of the first things i do every  monday morning.

2. my new most favorite-est game/obsession right now! draw something.  totally makes me laugh. cannot believe how silly some of the drawings are. i hope those of you playing along, are laughing at me just like i'm laughing at myself!

3. end of day. last look at my desk all tidied up after auditing charts for the day.

4. window down on the way home! with some pretty kick ass clouds. 

5. picking up ben from daycare. he always bolts down the hall ahead of me. always.

6. dinner. nick wanted to get hot dogs from this new place {underdog hot dogs} nearby. it's his third time in like 6 days. i think he has a problem. 

7. nice day for chalk! and i had to draw just so i knew my childish drawings on previously mentioned app are not my 'usual'. ;)

8. someone enjoying his uber manly, borrowed, dora tricycle. {had to pass some time while nick was cutting down our infested branches. nope, no pictures of that...}

9. bath time! with a mo-hawk and some red water. 

10. nigh time snackie with his new lorax books.

11. joining me while i was doing some yoga. 

12. what my computer looks like now. downloading all my pics from this weekend. getting ready to blog, hopefully for the week, and listening to some music. {trying to decide if i should download the whole fun. album. decisions, decisions! and i'll more than likely not make a decision and listen to the album on preview for the next week or so.}
