- i'm beginning to lose hope in the blogging battle.
- i think it's because i now have to seat in front of a computer all day at work. it's the last thing i want to do when i get home.
- may neglect the last few months of wip and do christmas and new years and maybe try to start fresh? in march?
- have melie's pictures and bullets all on my phone. i haven't forgotten about her, just haven't wanted to be near a computer.
- i am so sick of snow.
- add that i'm sick of bitter cold too. i feel trapped in our house!
- olympics are coming! so excited.
- just finished american horror story: coven. oh my word! love that show.
- saw bad grandpa with the girls last week. meh. so not what i was expecting.
- ben helped nick cook dinner last week. shrimp something or another. he loved it. and enjoyed the finished product too!

- i suck. last week really threw a weather fork in my plans. i was all out of sorts. and then last night, nick didn't play volleyball and amelia fell asleep at 630pm. i didn't know what to do! i will get on track.
- just watched my first episode of orange is the new black. obsessed.
- ben wants to marry baby. so cute.
- ben was 'playing' football in the house during one of the playoff games. he kept saying it was bears against peckers. ha! he meant packers.
- purchased an add on item from amazon. it didn't ship with the rest of the order. so my order came in two packages. doesn't that defeat the purpose?
- am grateful for my new iphone. thank goodness for warranties and husbands who took care of it. my battery was jumping from like 50% to 23% when i turned it on. i forgot what it was like to have a phone that held a charge!
- nick did a home improvement project already this year! rain gutter bookshelf next to ben's top bunk, so he didn't have to sleep with a million books in his bed.
- i think my force counts when i rock melie and when i play with her and raise my arms. i had almost 4,000 steps by 9am. i spent about 30-45 minutes rocking her last night... when she woke up at 2am after falling asleep at 630!
- my coworker kills me. today she said the computer says i'm 'o-beast.' um, i think you mean obese.
- i think this four day work week is going to kill me! haven't done it in like a month thanks to holidays and chiberia!

- i am not a fan of 'vanilla heat' coffee creamer. i think it's because i use so much creamer. that heat is totally over powering.
- christmas shopping mostly done! woot. just a few people left and it's mostly gift cards.
- looking forward to a four day weekend with my family. hoping nick doesn't get called out to work too much.
- ben keeps asking about the christmas tree. he says, 'but i miss it.' soon son. soon.
- amelia is now the owner of two new pairs of shoes. {i think they'll have their own post. i think ben's first pair did, so it's only fair.}
- i did it. ordered some essential oils. didn't go too crazy. and didn't go with the super crazy expensive ones. those you can ingest. not sure i'm there yet!
- ichabod crane is hot.
- told ben he was a good big brother. he said, 'no, i'm a small brother.' ;)
- this cannot come out soon enough. hoping i'm not disappointed.

- my tattoo itch is back. ;)
- i thought i had a pinched nerve or pulled muscle in my neck. now i think it's just all of life's stressors lodged there.
- the worst part about young children? constantly changing out the clothes in their closets.
- i love random 4am texts from girlfriends. makes me smile that some time can pass but nothing really changes.
- i feel horrible saying this. i can't wait for this year to be over. we've had tons on our plates. yes, i know we were blessed with healthy baby. that's why i said i feel bad saying it.
- i have retired my flip flop wearing to work. i have to walk through grass to get to the office, well i could walk the long way but that's silly, and it's freaking wet and cold at 730!

friday:
had our newborn photo shoot with miss monica. she was amazing. again, totally would suggest her in a heart beat if you're local.
hers are much better. my iphone version is pretty cute too, though. ;)
he was super tired after the shoot. check out that shake tilting oh so dangerously.
the coopers came over for a bit in the evening. brought us dinner. chinese!
lil miss was just chilling.
i have no pictures of their visit. baby decided she needed to nurse and we were mia for an hour. {part of the reason i switched to pumping only...}
then nick headed to work and i hung out with the kidlets.
saturday:
ben wanted to recreate the photo shoot. he loves his baby sister.
the boys went on a bike ride.
well, nick walked and ben rode. ben loves his new bike. and his spiderman helmet matches perfectly!
ben wanted to drive by the coopers, and they were home and outside so it turned into bike riding time with the girls
all that bike riding made for hungry littles... they had a berry snack. seriously, ben will eat all of your raspberries or blueberries. watch out.
they taste better when you eat them off of your fingers.

- meant to work on the hella fourth of july wip post yesterday, but i attacked my closet instead. {2 giant bags for goodwill! and that was just stuff i knew i didn't want. will go back through for ill fitting items in a bit. it's only been 6 weeks since baby, can't get too crazy!} yay for retired mom's wanting to watch miss melia for a few hours during the day so i can get stuff done before i go back to work.
- it's official. i go back to work 9.9. i'm excited yet sad.
- rode my bike this evening. 5+ miles in 35 minutes. i was impressed since it had been forever.
- i forgot how bad hybrid cars are when you have a baby. she wakes up every time the engine turns off and the battery kicks in.
- ben told nick he wanted some monsterella cheese. so cute.
- had a fly in the house and ben said, 'i'll get a tissue so you can get it momma.' explained to him that flies are tricky to catch, so he walked over to chewy and said, 'kitty. can you catch that fly for me?'
- so close to having chewbacca shaved. i cannot handle all this fur!
- started watching the league. thanks raquel! getting ready for my ff draft! i think nick is going to be in two leagues again this year. his draft is this weekend for the one and i don't think he's done any research.
- finally signed up for amazon mom again. subscribe and saved diapers, formula, and wipes. saved over 20% and i didn't have to go to the store. awesome!
- my mom comes back tomorrow. trying to figure out what project i want to tackle. i have two... maybe i'll be super productive and get both done... a girl can dream, right?

- ben kept using the word surprivaty yesterday? is that a private surprise? i have no clue where that came from.
- trying to find time to watch sytycd this season. ben always comments on how pretty malice is and calls cat deely, cat diggity.
- melia {as ben calls her} is awesome. such a low key baby. only cries when she is hungry. hoping she stays that way. please, no colic.
- am super anxious to be released by my doctor. two more weeks. i'm itching to clean and exercise. what is wrong with me?!?!
- have gone through most maternity stuff and put it in a garage sale pile. {yay val!}hoping to tackle my closet soon. i'm in need of a major purging. the scrap room is next! i have a month left of maternity leave... think i can do it?
- i love steve carell. despicable me. crazy, stupid, love. 40 year old virgin. all on the current watch list. i mean, there are only so many daytime tv shows that start with 'the' that i can handle.
- i also love random texts from friends with pharmacology quizes to keep my mind fresh! :)
- have become a night owl again. i cannot go to bed before midnight. even if amelia is sleeping at like 9. i wait up. it's awful. must break this habit soon. i'll never function at work if this continues. maybe she'll be super awesome baby and sleep through the night in like 3 weeks.
- thinking i might want to try a moscow mule... have a girl's date this week. maybe i'll take all the fixings and some really unhealthy pinterest recipe.... hmmm....

- i know english is a hard language. but i'm loosing faith in this country's education. so irritated with people misusing words. there is a difference between past and passed. {complains the person who can't be bothered with caps and proper punctuation...}
- have been watching north america with ben. so fun to watch his reactions and to see him learn.
- so cute when ben comes up and kisses my tummy and says 'i love you baby.'
- am no longer on bed rest. can work but i have to go slow and take frequent breaks. if my symptoms return, then i'm on desk duty. hoping these pains stay away and we can make it a few more weeks!
- go blackhawks! two goals in 17 seconds. have to say, i was thinking there would be a game seven!

- tried updating the blog last night. had the lap top die during the middle of the post... was too lazy pregnant to walk downstairs and plug it in to finish blogging!
- still working out photo uploading with new computer. i'm about ready to pull my hair out. i think nick would agree.
- has anyone seen this? the air curler. i was dumbfounded when i saw the commercial. like literally sat there with my mouth open. there's no way it works, right? i imagine a big scary knot!
- had a patient ask what we were naming the baby. told her it was my husband's choice this time. she said, 'i hope it's not after a dog.' what?! so when i asked why she would say that, she said that she was named after her dad's favorite dog growing up... sandra. poor lady!
- we got new neighbors. the son insists on parking on our side of the street, in front of our house. it's not like there isn't room on their side of the street. urgh.
- the other night ben told nick that he wanted mommy to take him to bed again. {we usually alternate nights.} when nick asked him why ben said, 'because mommy gives better back rubs.' awesome!
- i cannot believe it is almost fantasy football time.
- anxious for baby's doctor appointment this week. should be setting csection date! we're like 36 days or so away. eek!
- my dad planted my garden for me. how awesome is that?! i had bought some plants and he had leftovers, told him i had been meaning to get out there but just hadn't had the chance. so he came over and did it with ben and my mom's help. yay for this pregnant lady not having to get down and plant everything!

- slept through the night for the first time in months last night. so nice! i'm pretty sure having the windows open and the sound of rain helped. ;)
- the other day ben told me that the baby is getting big in there. i think he's gonna be surprised to see how big i actually get! {maybe a baby post this week?}
- i don't understand blocking things on wifi. like why block instagram but not facebook? strange.
- trying to figure out if i'm going to be brave, or crazy, enough to sign up for a 5k in november. will give me 7 weeks post op to prepare.
- nick went to kohls to use some of their 'kohl's cash'. the cashier told him he saved $75. he was a bit confused. he bought: a pair of adidas flips, a three pack of hanes tshirts, and a novelty tee. used the $50 cash he had {meaning he spent nothing}... would someone really have spent $135 on those three items?
- there is no such thing as chrome's disease. it's crohn's. seriously. medical people really should know this.
- ben and i were discussing what mommy and daddy do for work. he knows mommy is a nurse. and that daddy makes medicine to help people. pharmacist is a bit tricky! so when we reviewed that he was a pharmacist, he said, 'oh i like farms. and horses.' awesome!
- deadliest catch starts tonight. i haven't watched since captain phil died. not sure if i'm gonna do it...
- had to get new work shoes yesterday. was surreal being in a running store when some of 'their' own had just finished the marathon. such a sad world we live in today.
- convinced, okay asked, my friend to sew ben's closet curtains/drapes. she agreed! now i just have to hem the ones hanging over the window... i gave her my thread, so i get to wait a bit. but i am way less overwhelmed about hemming something that creating my own! yay good friends.

was going to be a lazy morning at home with beans. {nick was helping his sister move.}
beans requested green eggs and ham for breakfast. had just finished dr. seuss week at school. luckily i had some ham!
got a text from john asking if we could do lunch. told him nick was unavailable... he said bill couldn't join us either. perfect! just the five of us!
that evening we headed out to celebrate cousin megan's birthday.
loved that ben stuffed a napkin down his shirt. totally wish he would have left it there!
after pizza out, we headed back to nick's aunt and uncle's house. ben got to play with megan and jerry {who he is now obsessed with!}
someone was a crazy, sweaty mess!
candle time! ben's favorite part. he really loves their trick candles too.
and he opted for some edible arrangements rather than birthday cheesecake. i love that he still picks fruit over sweets. even if that pineapple did have some chocolate on it! he preferred the grapes and cantaloupe!
megan thought ben should wear her birthday crown!
then her leprechaun hat...
then he made a cave on the couch and had some quiet time with his phone.
sunday:
ben wanted a tent in the living room, so why not? his little one broke, so we pulled out the big one.
nick took a break from working on the loft for ben's room and we headed to target. {i love those kinds of field trips!}
they make my heart smile.
the new hazelnut macchiato. was pretty tasty. have to say i think i'm still a caramel girl at heart though.
yay pretty sunsets. spring is almost here!
found this soap for ben when we were at target. it's awesome! smells so good!
silly boy! working on him covering his eyes when we wash the shampoo out. normally he's fine. actually, he used to dunk himself in... then he did it a little too aggressively and bumped his lip on the bottom of the tub and has been reluctant ever since.
we're getting somewhere!!

candle time! ben's favorite part. he really loves their trick candles too.
and he opted for some edible arrangements rather than birthday cheesecake. i love that he still picks fruit over sweets. even if that pineapple did have some chocolate on it! he preferred the grapes and cantaloupe!
megan thought ben should wear her birthday crown!
then her leprechaun hat...
then he made a cave on the couch and had some quiet time with his phone.
sunday:
ben wanted a tent in the living room, so why not? his little one broke, so we pulled out the big one.
nick took a break from working on the loft for ben's room and we headed to target. {i love those kinds of field trips!}
they make my heart smile.
the new hazelnut macchiato. was pretty tasty. have to say i think i'm still a caramel girl at heart though.

found this soap for ben when we were at target. it's awesome! smells so good!
silly boy! working on him covering his eyes when we wash the shampoo out. normally he's fine. actually, he used to dunk himself in... then he did it a little too aggressively and bumped his lip on the bottom of the tub and has been reluctant ever since.
we're getting somewhere!!
and piles of laundry to go with more american horror story!
