wordless wednesday. silly faces.

ten on tuesdays. 5.17.11

- nick and i have booked our vacation. i'm excited but so anxious about flying without beaner. ;(
- finally scrapped over the weekend. i missed it.
- saw something borrowed and loved it. totally thought i read the book, but i was mistaken. doh! i had read baby proof and love the one that you're with.
- am really hoping that the spring weather will come back! i want to garden and we have a bbq planned for this weekend.
- had a patient with a mullet try to give me hair advice. really... really?!
- pretty sure ben used 'effin a' in context with nick last week. eek!
- i'm now the owner of two bowling balls. so thankful for generous friends and family. now if only one of them will work!
- the swing set is being delivered wednesday. woot woot!
- must see bridesmaids. soon! and friends with benefits. it's my boyfriend and one of nick's girlfriends, i think i can convince nick to see this one! ;) sometimes i think the best part of the movie is previews.
- ben will ask for a bath aka 'baf' daily. nick was obsessed when he was younger and i'm still a fan, so i guess i shouldn't be too surprised.

friday:
no real share-worthy pics...
chilled at home with the wee man.
in the evening nick and i headed to dinner with john and bill. was my first time at anthony's. i'm a fan.

saturday:
grabbed breakfast at the scrambled diner. ;) so thankful there wasn't a crazy wait like there usually is. even the waitress commented that normally there is an hour wait... we waited like 5 minutes! maybe it was because it was so nice outside.

despite the picture... ben does enjoy lemons!

our tasty breakfast. nick had a ribeye sandwich that he said was delicious. 

that evening we headed to lighthouse with tim and jen. so good.
sheesh. this was a foodie weekend!

sunday:
did some yard work around the house. well, mostly nick did. i was cold so ben and i didn't stay out too long.

ben tried on my gardening gloves...

and ben was a super helper. we made banana bread. {which i have no pictures of.}

then he helped nick take out the garbage.

and he helped us when we were figuring out where his new play area would go. 

wordless wednesday. a favorite flower.

i love daffodils. ;)

i know this is supposed to be wordless but this little flower has a story.

every year nick buys me daffodils. they're one of my favorites. however, i don't have the greenest thumb. so every year die.

last year i decided to throw the bulbs in with the stellas on the side of the deck. had meant to go back and actually plant them, but i never did.

a few weeks ago, found this one growing away... on top of the rocks. and it's still there!

ten on tuesday. 5.10.11

- just curious as to who names slot machines? because does kitty glitter really sound all that gamble-y.
- had a hat trick of 911 calls last week. was a crazy ass day. the paramedics asked when we closed after the third one!
- nick taught me a word last week. {he's a complete smarty pants} portmanteau. i combine and make up my own words all the time sometimes it's intentional and sometimes not so much. last week i used catray {cat scan and xray} and hallucional {hallucinating and delusional}. both were unintentional. my favorite one of all time... ginormous. ;)
- watched inception. good movie. had to stay awake because you had to think the entire time!
- finally learned how to use my sewing machine friday and it was awesome. trying to pick an easy project to tackle first...
- got a picnic table at work. i know, it may not sound that exciting but it totally is! somewhere to sit when escaping from the crazy reps!
- these are delicious. yum. i can't stop snacking on them.
- ben's swingset is officially ordered. yay on finally deciding on one. it's always kinda funny the way things work out...
- summer bowling started tonight. scored me some super cute bowling shoes with my mother's day money {thanks mom!} and i bowled a 160 one game! {the other two were like 120s, so not too shabby!}
- doing the garden this weekend. i hope... so excited. ;)

friday:
ben's first time at tyler's tender. met up with john and the girls, and mike and raymond. ben was in heaven. he loves trains. he didn't want to ride the big one though. he was totally content to just watch. however, after being there for a while and seeing that everyone else survived, he was in!

saturday:

sunday:
easter #2.
